The Army clothing record is an official document that lists all the items of clothing and equipment issued to a soldier by the United States Army.
A clothing record is a permanent document that keeps track of how many items a soldier has in their possession that they’re responsible for at any time.
The army’s clothing record is used to track and manage items given to soldiers; this ensures that the items are well maintained and replaced or returned where necessary.
Soldiers in the Army view and manage their records through the My OCIE Record link. OCIE Record means Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment Record
An Army clothing record will have the following information:
- A soldier’s name, rank, and contact information
- Name and description of the items issued to the soldier
- Date the items were issued
- The Central Issuing Facility (CIF)
- The number and quantity of items given to the soldier
- The size of the items, etc.
All soldiers are responsible for maintaining their clothing records and accounting for all the items issued to them.
Not maintaining your clothing record will result in disciplinary action or financial costs if you lose or damage items issued to you.
