E1B — Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD) Certificate

a. PDSI Code Proponent.

b. PDSI qualifications.

All Soldiers must successfully complete the following training administered by the Defense Nuclear Weapons School (DNWS):

1) Advanced Diagnostics Training-1, consists of one week and zero days.

2) Advanced Diagnostics Training-2, consists of one week and zero days.

3) Joint Nuclear Explosive Ordnance Disposal Course, consists of one week and zero days.

4) Applied Radiological Response Techniques – Level 1 (Distance Learning), consists of 16 hours of distance learning.

5) At the completion of all four courses, the DNWS Registrar will generate a certificate of completion for EOD WMD.

c. Activities authorized to submit requests for award of PDSI.

E2A — Mi-17 HIP Aircraft Qualification

b. PDSI qualifications.

(1) Officer and warrant officer rated aviator personnel who successfully complete Mi-17 HIP aircraft pilot qualification training conducted at C Co 1-223rd Aviation Regiment, Fort Novosel, AL.

(2) Enlisted Soldiers who successfully complete Mi-17 HIP flight engineer, aircraft crewmember standard instruction or crew chief training conducted at C Co 1-223rd Aviation Regiment, Fort Novosel, AL.

c. Activities authorized to submit requests for award of PDSI.

E2D — Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) Increment (INC) 2 Support

Successful complete one of the following:

(1) WIN-T INC 2 Support training provided by WIN-T INC 2 personnel.

(2) Unit training which entails Soldiers who have been assigned to WIN-T 2 unit a minimum of six months and must conduct specific training on WIN-T Inc 2 platforms during that time.

These Soldiers will also have participated in at least one major Field Training Exercise or Network Integration Exercise.

E4J — Excellence In Armor

Soldiers who successfully complete the Excellence In Armor program conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Armor Center.

E5B — Counter-Rocket, Artillery, Mortar (C-RAM) Intercept Land-Based Phalanx Weapon System (LPWS)

b. PDSI qualifications.

Active Component CMF 14 Officers, Warrant Officers and Enlisted Soldiers are required to attend the 3 week C-RAM/LPWS functional course.

The PDSI E5B will be awarded to AC CMF 14 personnel who successfully complete the course taught at Fort Sill, OK.

National Guard CMF 13 and CMF 14 Officers, Warrant Officers and Enlisted Soldiers are required to attend the 8 week pre-mobilization C-RAM training prior to assuming the C-RAM Intercept LPWS mission in theater.

Training will encompass classroom and hands on instruction on all major end items of the missile system.

The unit will conduct a Command Post Exercise (CPX), a Live Fire Exercise (LFX), and a Culminating Training Event (CTE) in the Engagement Operations Center (EOC) and LPWS areas.

The unit will then immediately deploy into theater for assumption of mission.

The PDSI E5B will be awarded to AC and NG personnel who successfully complete 8 week pre-mobilization C-RAM training prior to assuming the C-RAM Intercept LPWS mission in theater.

E8B — Iron Dome Defense System – Army

a. PDSI Code Proponent.

b. PDSI qualifications.

Service members required to successfully complete the 6 week Iron Dome Defense System – Army (IDDS-A) New Equipment Training (NET) program established by the program manager.

NET will encompass both hands on and classroom instruction on all major end items of the missile system.

The IDDS-A major end items consist of a Battle Management Center, Multi Mission Radar, Missile Firing Unit, and Communications Shelter.
