The two drills used for recovery, coupled with proper nutrition and sleep, carry over to the next physical training session.
Proper recovery results in positive adaptation to the stress of training, maintains alertness, and improves the Soldier’s ability to progress in the readiness training program using—
● The Recovery Drill (RD) that gradually and safely tapers off activities to bring the body back to its pre-exercise state.
Recovery continues throughout the day with active nutrition and sleep practices.
● Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) that is a self-check and fix for musculoskeletal issues.
It provides early identification of issues so that Soldiers can take care of issues before they become chronic or severe.
