As of June 1, 2025, the U.S. Army has implemented the Army Fitness Test (AFT) as the new standard for physical fitness assessments, replacing the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT). This change affects how promotion points are calculated for enlisted soldiers aiming for the ranks of Sergeant (E-5) and Staff Sergeant (E-6).

Non-Combat MOS:

The AFT consists of five events:

The Standing Power Throw has been removed from the test.
