Army PRT achieves other valuable outcomes in addition to developing and maintaining a high level of individual and unit readiness. These outcomes include: basic military skills and survivability along with their intangible benefits. The basic military skills associated with PRT include foot marching, running, swimming, jumping, vaulting, climbing, crawling, lifting, and load carrying.
Survivability is often dependent upon maneuverability and mental alertness. Intangible benefits include teamwork, aggressiveness, confidence, resourcefulness, a will to win, discipline, and adaptability. Physical resilience is also a gained attribute.
