R Series PDSI Codes

R1A Rescue Technician

a. PDSI Code Proponent. U.S. Army Engineer School, ATTN: ATSE-E, 14010 MSCOE Loop, Bldg 3201, Suite 1661, Fort Leonard Wood, MO 65473-8926.

b. PDSI qualifications. To qualify a Soldier must complete the US&R Rescuer Course 9E-F58/920-F50 instructed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO or equivalent schools which teach the same course and are certified by the International Fire Service Accreditation College (IFSAC & Pro Board (Fire Service Professional Qualification System).

R1J Data Scientist

b. PDSI qualifications. Officers must meet the following requirements for award of PDSI R1J:

(1) Master’s degree or PHD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields.

(2) Experience working with distributed computing platforms like Hadoop and related technologies.

(3) Experience with one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R, etc.); comfortable with SQL and Linux Command Line Interface commands.

(4) Validation of qualifications will be made by the FA49 Proponent Office, ODCS G-8, ATTN: DAPR-DPM, 700 Army Pentagon, Washington, DC 20310-0700, Com (703)-695-3906.

R1K Operational Data Analyst (Effective 202207)

a. PDSI Code Proponent. United States Army Finance and Comptroller School (ATTN: ATSG-FCS), 10000 Hampton Parkway, Fort Jackson, SC, 29207-7050

b. PDSI qualifications. Successful completion of the Advance Business Analytics Certificate (ABAC) course through the University of South Carolina (UofSC) that consist of four graduate level courses.

c. Activities authorized to submit requests for award of PDSI. Proponency Directorate, United States Army Finance and Comptroller School (ATTN: ATSG- FCS), 10000 Hampton Parkway, Fort Jackson, SC 29207-7050.

d. Restrictions. For use with any Officers AOC, Warrant Officers and Enlisted Soldiers MOS within the Force Sustainment Division (FSD).

R2J 75th Ranger Regiment Cultural Support Team (CST) Assessment and Selection

a. PDSI Code Proponent. United States Army Infantry School, ATTN: ATSH-IP, 1 Kraker Street, Suite 6107, Fort Moore, GA, 31905, Telephone (706) 545-8791.

b. PDSI Qualifications. Must successfully complete all of the following:

1. Completion of the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (JFKSWCS), Civil Affairs Assessment and Selection Program.

2. Complete the 75th Ranger Regiment CST Pre-Deployment Training.

3. Complete a six month operational deployment cycle with an element of the 75th Ranger Regiment.

d. Restrictions.

(1) Female volunteers only.

(2) Eligible grades: O-3, WO1-W3 and E4-E8.

(3) Enlisted only: Minimum GT of 100 (not waiverable).

(4) Have a current APFT score of at least 240, with at least 60 points in each event, no profiles and no alternate event.

(5) Meet height and weight outlined in AR 600-9.

(6) Secret security clearance, at minimum (Interim secret clearance).

(7) Must not be currently flagged, under criminal investigation, pending adverse administrative or UCMJ action.
