1. Service member must serve for a minimum of 12 consecutive months in one of the following qualifying positions.

2. Serve in a Trial Defense Service (TDS) paralegal position and completed 10 courts-martial actions as verified by unit Chief or Command Paralegal NCO.

3. Must successfully complete one of the following Special Victim Prosecutor Team Course; or the Trial Paralegal Course. TDS paralegals must complete both Defense Counsel 101 course and the Trial Paralegal Course to qualify for the PDSI.
