SITTING

2-12. The Sitting position is the transition position for certain exercises conducted on the ground.

Assume the Sitting position from the Half-Kneeling position by sweeping the rear leg under the body while sitting back onto the buttocks.

The hands remain off the ground during the movement.

Straighten both legs so that they are placed together on the ground.

Figure 2-10 illustrates the Sitting position.

In order to support the body weight, both hands will be placed on the ground next to the hips, fingers facing forwards.
